Amazing Vintage Horse Jewelry
Posted on 27th Jun 2016
It's #ShoppingSaturday and you know what that means: time to check out some of the amazing new pieces of vintage horse jewelry we've just added to the collection.
We're going to warn you right up front: estate jewelry pieces like this are one of a kind and they sell very quickly, so if you want anything you see today, jump on it. Otherwise, someone else may get it - and with these type of pieces, once they're gone, they're gone. Don't delay & get disappointed.
First piece this week is a Wow piece of fine gemstone Victorian horse jewelry. Carved from a single piece of tiger's eye is a finely wrought horse's head, which dangles from an ornate brooch. Originally, this may have been a watch fob, but today it's lovely as a pin. It's carved on both sides and looks equally great from either side. The reins are rose gold - perfectly on trend for this season's warm color palate.
Where are all our Civil War buffs? You're going to want to pay attention now, because next year we will be selling this amazing Sterling Silver Civil War Horse Button Necklace. Back in the day, buttons weren't the utilitarian fasteners we think about today. These little objects were works of art!
Look at the prancing horse on this button. He's very energetic, with his mane blowing in the wind - ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. The original button was worn during the Civil War. Our Master Jewelers are recreating this exact look in a very wearable sterling silver pendant. It's 1" in diameter, a great size for everyday. We're pairing it with a 16-24" adjustable stainless steel Rolo chain, but you could also try it on a leather cord for a more rugged feel.
We're very excited about the Civil War button necklace because it makes a great gift for so many people: horse lovers, history buffs, her, him, adults & teens. Classic equestrian flair with all American styling - what could be better than that?
