First piece this week is a Wow piece of fine gemstone Victorian horse jewelry.  Carved from a single piece of tiger's eye is a finely wrought horse's head, which dangles from an ornate brooch. Originally, this may have been a watch fob, but today it's lovely as a pin. It's carved on both sides and looks equally great from either side. The reins are rose gold - perfectly on trend for this season's warm color palate.

Where are all our Civil War buffs? You're going to want to pay attention now, because next year we will be selling this amazing Sterling Silver Civil War Horse Button Necklace. Back in the day, buttons weren't the utilitarian fasteners we think about today. These little objects were works of art!

Look at the prancing horse on this button. He's very energetic, with his mane blowing in the wind - ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.
